There is wonderful part of the day for some of the residents at Aleh Negev.
Once a day they are taken to a wonderful room called snooze land. The walls and floors are padded and all white. There is a swinging chaise, bean bags, a single size water bed, a cylinder filled with bubbly water that is light and changes colours.....I hope you get the idea. The residents come in as the main lights are turned off and the room is aglow with small strings of led lights in soothing colours. Soothing, that's what snooze land is about. It's the special place where the residents come to calm their souls. We roll up their sleeves and gently massage cream on their arms, we rub their backs, roll them on big balls and give them the time they need to just be. After my first few times there, it soon became my favorite place not because of the calmness but because I get to see the residents very individually in a different state of being.
